Katrina IdlemanKatrina Idleman has been a map enthusiast since her days as navigator on family vacations. She earned a BS and MS in Geological Sciences from SUNY Albany. Her degree work required the study, use, and preparation of topographic and geologic maps, including the mapping of Taconic fold and fault structures in west central Vermont and the mapping of shear zones in the North Arm Mountain ophiolite massif of western Newfoundland. Her professional life as a quality assurance auditor does not require much in the way of map skills, but she is happily mastering the use of marine charts in her role as the first mate of the family sailboat.
