Dan Beaupré Founder - One Giant Leap / National Geographic alumnus
Dan is the founder and principal of One Giant Leap, LLC, bringing life-changing educational experiences to children, ages 5-95. He previously served as Vice President, Experiences, in the National Geographic Society’s Education division, leading the Society’s experience-based education programs. He created the Giant Maps program, which brings gym-sized maps to schools in the United States and abroad, the National Geographic Explorers Camp, and the GeoChallenge. He’s the recipient of awards and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Danish-American Fulbright Commission and the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation. In 1998, he received the Distinguished Teacher Award from the White House. Dan has a B.A. in History from the University of Vermont and a M.Ed. from Harvard University. |

Brendan is the Director of the National Park Service’s Harpers Ferry Center for Media Services (HFC), which is committed to enhancing the visitor experience in national parks through the use of relevant, compelling interpretive media. Brendan formerly served as Chief Operating Officer for the Office of National Marine Sanctuaries at NOAA, and was a member of the government’s scientific support team during emergency response and natural resource damage assessment phases of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. As an active member of Allentown’s Environmental Advisory Council, she advocated for reducing single-use plastics.
